Biography
Schooling
Destinie had attended Cab Calloway School of the arts for High School in Delaware and majored in the Visual arts. After graduating, she moved on to attend the Delaware College of Art and Design where she received her AFA in Illustration. She is working on her Bachelor's degree from Towson University.
Hobbies and Work
Destinie is interested in visually telling stories, whether it be in a painting or a graphic novel. In her spare time, she also enjoys doing website designs, complete with HTML, CSS, and Javascript. All her websites are designed first on paper, then in Photoshop, and all coding is done in Notepad, with little help from Dreamweaver. Destinie been requested to do concept work for Children's books, portraits, and tattoo designs. She has taken up the use of different mediums and is very adaptable with technology. She has explored various types of paint, dry medium, and also works well in Adobe photoshop, Illustrator CS, and Painter IX.
About her work
Destinie prefers to work mainly from a fantastic or surreal view of life. She does not denounce realism, but she feels that those who have the talent and power to create art, should make something fantastic that no one can see in their everyday lives. Her artwork has been described in many ways, and some people have mentioned that parts of her drawings reflect a kind and serene demeanor.
Destinie enjoys doing a wide-variety of projects and is always looking for something new. She excels in digital and logo design and always has a new and creative approach to any problem.
